Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Whately Library is an independent, 501(c) 3 organization whose mission is to promote the interests of the library so that its services and activities, may benefit the public to the greatest extent possible. The Friends provide financial support to programs, projects, events and materials whose costs are not met from the library’s annual operating budget.
Fundraising activities contribute to the following:
Museum passes for free and reduced rate admission to area museums
Summer Reading Program
Technology Support
Author Talks
Summer Concert Series
Annual Holiday Tree Lighting
Children and Young Adult Programs
Those interested in any level of involvement are encouraged to attend out next monthly meeting at the library. The group meets monthly on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm. New members are always welcome.
If you can’t donate your time, how about becoming a supporting friend? The Friends offer annual membership to those who would like to financially support the library on an annual basis. We offer a variety of support levels to choose from:
Individual: $10
Family: $25
Patron: $50
