CPA Project Application

The Community Preservation Committee considers applications for funding for eligible projects for community housing, historic preservation, open space and recreation.  Applications for funding at the April Town Meeting must be submitted by 2:30pm on Tuesday before the second Wednesday in December at Whately Town Offices, 4 Sandy Lane, Whately.  Email submissions to townclerk@whately.org are acceptable as long as the date and time meet the deadline.

Applications for time-sensitive projects only for funding at a special town meeting in the fall must be submitted by noon on the Tuesday before the second Wednesday of June at Town Offices.  Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate why their project is time-sensitive.

The CPC encourages applicants to discuss their projects with the Committee prior to the application deadline and to have received the approval of the relevant town committee(s) (Ag Commission, Conservation Commission, Housing Committee, Historical Commission, and Recreation Commission).  The relevant committee must have reviewed the project within 90 days of submission of the application for it to be considered for funding.
