John Berkowitz shares his own poems—and poetry and prose by other local and nationally-known authors—about living fully, aging gracefully, dealing with grief and loss, and befriending death.  Plus a few songs.  Audience response and comments are welcome after each one.

Berkowitz, 70, is a Northampton poet, author of Saving—and Savoring—the World;  a proud grandfather of four, and a retired but still active activist in environmental, economic, and social justice issues.  For the past six years, he’s been leading aging support groups called “Living Fully, Aging Gracefully, and Befriending Death”.  They meet twice a month for seven months in Northampton, Easthampton, Deerfield, and Greenfield.
