Friends of the Whately Library is an organization founded to support activities within the library.   Our book sales  generate funds for the Scoop and the 2009 Summer Reading Program.   The Friends also host concerts, movies, and children's arts & crafts.  This spring the Friends sponsored the Treasures of Whately lecture series, featuring talks on the town's unique natural and historical treasures. The board usually meets on the first Wednesday of the month, when all are welcome.  A great way to show support for the library is by becoming a member of the Friends.   All contributions are tax-deductible.
